Who We Are

Renaissance means rebirth or renewal. This is the perfect name to take an existing concept, selling refurbished ultrasound equipment, and providing clinical support. The new life has come in the form of developing a social business. Renaissance Ultrasound is a cause-driven company where the corporate focus is on greater issues such as poverty. Microfinance is our passion. Through this concept women domestically as well as in Third World countries are given loans to start businesses and rise out of poverty. By providing affordable state-of-the-art ultrasound technology and applications support to doctors in the United States and investing 5% of the net profits to select microfinance organizations, our hope is to help contribute to the end poverty.

Renaissance Ultrasound was founded by Leslie Patton after 15 years of working in sales, marketing, and management at two leading medical supply companies. She broke out of the corporate model and created a more flexible, customer-oriented business that meets the needs of both her clientele and herself as a busy mom. She also desires to assist other working women in the process, and so incorporates this goal into her business mission. Leslie knows that good business and human compassion are a great combination.

Circle of Prosperity

In China, red symbolizes prosperity and the gerbera means strength. We wish for prosperity to be full circle: Flowing from our customers through Renaissance through indigent women trying to make a better life for their children, all of which takes strength to accomplish.

As this is a woman owned business, there is a dedication to remaining at the forefront of women’s healthcare. Our commitment is demonstrated by joining Friends of ACOG which will allow us to remain up to date with current women’s issues
